Another test drive today: I ran two hours worth
of Christmas errands this afternoon in my Six.

A near perfect winter day for a drive with
temps around 78*F, nice ocean breeze, azure blue sky
and puffy white clouds drifing by. Now the doc says
it's nap time to build my strength.

Anyone else out driving this weekend?

Dale, you just love pushing Tony's buttons don't you.
What was <span style="font-style: italic">this</span> test drive for?

<span style="color: #990000">Today's test drive was to check out the new trunk
locking gizzmo and new lock washers on my air filter box.
So far, so good. No breakdowns yet from the trunk lock. WHEW!!

You know Dale. We've about had it with the "who's driven their.."
We can only handle so much torture

 You're too much Dale. Did you get any kinda warrantee on those lock washers?

I think it all evens out in the wash Don.

My car spends 8 to 10 months per year on jackstands
being repaired. So I get an actual driving season of
maybe three to four months between breakdowns.

I have only 1632 miles driven year to date.
Not much to brag about?

stay warm,

dale :savewave:

...Takin' the Healey out tomorrow, be about 60 here in the moutains of NM, will be in Chicago next week...Yikes!!

:savewave: Had Agatha out on Tuesday. Upper 50's to low 60's here in the East Mountains of NM. Drove the Turquoise Trail to Madrid, had coffee at Java Junction, and then on home. I was nice and toasty. Coming back I admit to using my ear warmers and gloves. (of course the top was down, well shucks.)

No, we finally got some significant snow, so the MG will stay in the garage till the roads are dry again. This is not to say it will sit until spring-just until the roads get cleared off and it stays dry for a few days (so no wet salty water and slush). We get the car out a couple times a month in winter. Hopefully Dad will get my Miata out and moving, so it doesn't freeze up or the battery go flat.

I haven't been without a car since I was fifteen. It's kind of weird, but strangely freeing. I mean, it snowed overnight-not much but a couple of inches, enough to make side streets a bit messy. And I just didn't care, because I could waltz over to the Red Line and go just about anywhere I needed to go.

If I could only get mine off jackstands, I would drive the snot out of it. But I must be patient. Either that or I sit in the drivers seat and make driving noises.

No driving this weekend...our first snowfall last night. Last Saturday, Nov 29, was my last time out to date.

Dave - last Saturday was your last time out to date? I thought you were married! :jester:

<ducks and runs>

Salt trucks have been out here the last few days.

Zero chance of me taking the MGB out.

Anyway, the Miata has new Blizzaks.

If the weather is nice, I might take the MG to my brother's house over Christmas for a few days and park it in his garage next to ~His Midget~ . But before it goes back in my garage, it goes to the coil-operated car wash for an undercarraige rinse.

Date?
OK, we did actually go on a "date" last night.
To the local diner. And ran into friends who were doing the same thing.

Hey Dale! How many spare lock-washers did you stock up in the trunk for this test run??

Going to do a little Xmas shopping taking out the BE A little cool 50 this morning high of 65 but thats OK engine is a little on the rich so it likes the cool air.
Its the summers that I park it here in Texas.
