Curling is a huge sport in Canada, but then likely a sport that only makes sense in more snowbound countries I suppose... They didn't have curling in Alaska Tony?

I'll freely admit that watching it is very boring, but it actually gets big TV ratings here when there's a major tournament during the winter, I've been told that at the top level of sport it is a game of strategy. And it's also much funner to actually participate in the sport, even if it's just for fun once a year, and you really have no idea what you're doing. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Not a big street sport down here... them rocks don't slide good inna sand, apparently

nope... but waxed up cardboard can be quite fun... assuming the sand is piled up high enough /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

*shrug* hockey in FL ain't no worse than hockey in SoCal...

'sides... I kinda like the Tampa Bay Lightenings... would rather see them in the Stanely Cup finals than the LA Kings /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/pukeface.gif

Sherlock - watched lots of hockey in Alaska & lots of dog sled races but never heard of any curling events
