That doesn't cost 625 billion dollars like the BPNW one? I find it strange Moss doesn't have one avalible.
 
We have had a tank for the last few months that is coming from the UK from a TR6 enthusiast. They are in aluminum, they have baffles and they are beautiful and fit excellent. They are made to fit both carburated and fuel injected TR6's. Since we don't need the fuel return here in the states we want to supply a plug for the fuel return and low and behold we have been unable to find a plug to fit. I will check on Monday with the tech department to see how they are coming with this since this info I have is probably 3-4 months old. I don't know BPNW price but it looks like we will be at $599.
 
Did you try the used market, half price maybe?? A good sealer and away you go.
A scrap metal thief got all of mine but one and I hate to part with it as long as I have mine.

Seen everything ebay has to offer. I was hoping for a cheaper new or used one. Mine is beyond anything I'd care to reline.

VB w/ sender shipped it like $255.
 
I may have a used one that has been lined, but never used. It was lined by a local radiator shop. PM me if you still need one.

You're over your limit on PM's. I still need one but I'm reluctant about relining. While I've used relined tanks for years, I had one fail. The liner fell down and would plug the pick up. I never suspected the tank and it had been relined. Long story short it drove me nuts and I wound up parking the car only to sell it several years later to a friend.

Funny thing is, I bought it from a friend who got tired of casing down a problem that wound uop being stuff plugging up the fuel pickup.

How much you need for it?

Has the Moss tech department considered plastic fuel tanks for not only Triumph’s but all other British car makes?

The reason for the question is it is difficult to find gas stations with gas that does not contain up to 10% ethanol when you are out on a drive and need to refill. The ethanol (water) attacks the steel fuel tank if the zinc coating is pitted like most. This results in fine rust in the fuel filter or carb bowls. It is my understanding that some gas tank sealers dissolve with fuel containing ethanol. The current production autos have added plastic fuel tanks for this reason for some time now. Most of the other fuel system rubber parts can be replaced with later replacement parts that will not swell with ethanol.
 
I'm not sure what I did with the tank, but it can't be found. Sorry
 
That's an interesting idea. I don't know that we have explored that but on the other hand would you guys really put a plastic tank in your car or is originality king? That being said we are already carrying a number of aluminum tanks so maybe that answers my question.

On our TR6 tank we are still having issues finding the right plug. Aaarrrrgh.
 
Plastic may have a problem dealing with prolonged exposure to ethanol..at least that's what the guy at the small engine repair shop claims.

:iagree: I'm convinced that is what caused my original plastic float to deteriorate and fill with gas. I replaced it with a brass one since I did not trust another plastic one.

Ive got a '76 6 in Slidell that has a bill of sale only (eventhough I have the title and paper work that MAY get a transfer) that has a tank and other "stuff". The top is a plastic top and I want that. The car is a roller with motor, tranny ( no OD) and rear end. If you are interested let me know.
