Spitfire Anybody with a 78+ Spit in MA I could peek at?

I'm trying to rebuild the exhaust system on my '80 Spit. It had none of the original exhaust equipment on it when I got it. I've managed to collect pretty much everything I need, but for some reason the bottom of the cat pipe is hitting the frame when I try to install it.

So... is there anybody in the Central/Eastern MA area with a car with an intact original exhaust with catalyst who might be kind enough to let me come take a peek for reference so I can see where the problem lies?

Thanks a ton Len, those look like they'll be very useful. I'm off now to compare them to what I've got!

Dang, I've got the wrong manifold. The one I've got goes straight down at the bottom, where as the one in your photo is bent toward the rear of the car.

So... what the heck car is this manifold I've got from? It's definitely a 1500 manifold that fits a cat. Wonder if maybe it's a midget manifold.

Thanks again Len, you've solved my problem. At least the first part. Now I've got to go find another manifold!

Glad I could be of service.

I got my manifold at Team Triumph in Warren, Ohio last time I was over that way. Think I gave him $75 for it.
