I have been parting out a MGA,and selling the stuff on ebay. I recently sold a complete wire wheel F/R suspension to a German bidder. Well, he is a no pay. I filled /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif out the dispute form as instructed,and he has answered it in GERMAN.I cant read German and he knows it. In my auction he asked a question in German,I said I cant read it,so he rewrote it in English. I have sent this to ebay,waiting for thier reply.Can any of you guys read German.I would like to know what he said.The guy is a creep.
 
You can try babelfish.com. Cut & paste the info into the message box & there's a pull down to decide what translation you want - in this cas, German to english. How ironinc that I had to do this just about an hour ago when someone sent me an art package entirley in German. If I could not get the translated package I would have done the babelfish but luckily they could get me the english .pdf.

Thanks for the offer you guys. OK Eric,..I am computer stupid,I tried to cut and paste, it was a no go, I just got all sticky. I have hand written the German text that is his reply, hope I got it right.

deliver the item??? what a bunch of BS.I told him the shipping was his choice picked up at my shop.

What do I do for feed back? Does this qualify for a negative? I have never given a negative before.

I'd be wary of leaving Neg feedback unless feedback was left for you. I learned early on, if you have any problem with an item, let them leav feedback first. Then rake them over the coals and let 'em have it.
 
Did you specify that the item was for local pick up only? if so he would be in the wrong for canceling the transaction. If it wasn't obviously stated that the item had to be picked up, there may be some gray area.
 
I said the buyer had to arrange shipping and transportation,and I would help load.As stated in my auction. The truth is he emailed me saying he only wanted the diff,and I was obviously to remove it. I said OK but you will still have to pay the auction price because the rear axle was no good with out a diff. then he just dissapeared. He is a deadbeat..plain and simple. Probably a former E German Stasi guard.

So...what about feed back,...I have some really great stuff ready to type. I pride myself on my visciousness.

BOXoROCKS, that's not a typical behavior for Stasi people, it's a behavior you'll find from time to time when you do business in ebay, regardless of nation and their history. Believe me, I've done a lot of business in ebay and found most (99%) people there honest and obliging, and the other 1% consisted partly of Germans (who may have been former Stasi men) and US citizens (who may ... pick your choice of US breach of international law).

Back to topic. You can leave feedback 90 days after auction has ended. I found a method to leave feedback later, and if my counterpart doesn't know this method, he cannot leave the (revenge) feedback for me.

But, on the other hand, I'd act like my previous speaker Jack L.

yup, I'm just getting it out here.Its a no win situation. Can anybody check out his feedback and what his other negatives say. He has a couple.
