John- Bobby posted this and more on the 6 pack. Had o check to see if the car was there .Sure nuff. Thought you would like to see it.

Thanks, Don.

I heard that it started to rain at PIR just as the Columbia River Classic Kastner Cup All-Triumph Race started.

Twenty cars started, Mordy Dunst won the Cup in his TR4.

Mark York finished 17 in my old TR3. Hey, he was out there! A white TR3B ran as well.

Couple breakdowns and a Spitfire hit a wall during practice, I think.

Babcock had to do some panel beating on Peyote. The Hart TR250K and Devin-Triumph ran.

Joe Alexander's Ambro was the pace car; he didn't race. Kas rode with Joe. Ambro looks too nice to race!

I wish I could have been there! Photos will have to do.

It rained off and on all weekend (mostly on). First bad weather in weeks. Hey Don, you didn't happen to get a picture of my son spinning my spitfire around in the Giant slalom did you?

Eric= I didn't take those pics. I coward in Seattle afraid I'd melt in the rain. Bobby D. posted those from someone else on the 6 Pack forum

Chuck Arnold, a Vintage racer & Triumph Mail List regular, was kind enough to share his extensive Triumph photo album with us. There's some great pictures from the Kastner Cup races including pictures of Joe Alexander's recently completed Ambro pace/race car. There are some beautiful vintage TR race cars including Tony Drew and Morty Dunst among many.

There's also an album of a Hot Special TR6 that I think a 6-Packer bought.

Don,

The race cars have RED engines. Bobby proved it!!
