I have decided to get a Mig welder. I need to stich to 115 volts as that is all I have in the barn.
Currently I am leaning towards a Hobart but which one? I can definitely can afford the Hobart 125 but am wondering if that is going to be good enough to do basic repairs to the midget like sheet metal, etc OR should I go for the Hobart 140 which I would need to save up for?
I read the Hobart 140 has an amp range of 25 to 125 while the hobart 125 has an amp range of 30 to 125 and that one needs to have the lowest possible amps to do sheet metal. 25 being the high "low". Is this correct or can someone tell me if they are using the Hobart 125 without problems or another brand running in the $300 to $400 dollar range that works ok?
Thanks
