Any one attend The Roadster Factory Summer Party?

Did any one make it to the Summer Party? I have made it one time in the 6 years I have owned my TR8. And the time I went my 8 was in being painted. The worst part of it is The Roaster Factory is only 45 minutes from my house. I have missed two being in Iraq, two for my kids playing in softball/bseball play offs and another one simply with army requirements.

Anyways, any updates from those of you who made it, Pics? and results of the yearly show down between Woody and Tim Lanocha on the drag strip.

This doesn't have anything to do with the party. I do want to thank you for your service to our country.

Woody didn't have a car there this year. Tim had his Group 44 knock off with a small block Chevy. He had a lot of trouble hooking up off the line, but still ran at around 122.46 mph(FTD). Nobody was even close to him.
A TR8 also had FTD at the autocross. I don't recall his name.

It is a shame Woody did not have his car there, I know there is a good rivally between them. Tim had a small block chevy? I figured he would have a turbo or something like that. It is funny since I was only there once but I read all about it and hear about it thru the TR8CCA and I feel like I have been there more.

A TR8 had fastest time of the day, that is awesome, maybe a good omen for me for next week end since I will be racing down at Washington Pa at the MS autocross. I wonder who it was. I know my 8 is fast unfortunately the best time it ever ran was with a friend, and more seasoned autocrosser, at the wheel.

Thanks 69tr... lots of guys still over there so keep them in mind and prayer

In his monthly newsletter, Charles Runyon said he will be posting photos of the Summer Party on their site.

Re: Any one attend The Roadster Factory Summer Par

Ya I went. This was the 8th Summer Party in a row that I made. Couldn't wait to go too. Just finished the restoration of my TR250 that Thursday morning of the party. Got tires on the car in the afternoon. Packed at 5 PM. Wash and a quick detail and off to the party my son and I went. About a 3 hour drive from north east Ohio. Would have liked to take both the TR3 and 250 but too many issues with the 3.

Numbers were way down this year. I belive Becky told me 240 preregistered and many more came in on Saturday. Total some where around 400. Lots of fun as always. Made some new friends. The parade field was completely open. Many participants were giving Charles a hard time as he said in the letter. That's may be an exaggeration. I talked to him about it too. I told him I would really miss it if he cancels the future parties. It's the one major event that I can't wait to go to. I've had so much fun in past years. SO IF ANY OF YON'S OUT THERE WOULD LIKE TO KEEP THE SUMMER PARTY ROLLING, E-MAIL CHARLES AND LET HIM KNOW ASAP. trfmail@aol.com
