I would recommend going to the Sacramento Valley MG Car Club’s home page: www.svmgcc.org
They like most MG clubs with a web site list a number of the upcoming events in the area.
They also have a listing of the time and location of their next meeting. You might want to look them up. I am sure that they will make a newcomer feel welcome.
The Dixon meet's coming up in May ,I believe (May 21?).
Look up the (I think)United British Sports car club in Sacramento, they pt it on.
I keep hoping to make it,but something comes up each year.I'll be on the East coast this time.
I was thumbing through the event list on another site and I came across the Dixon show/ swapmeet. Since it is far enough away, in time, i am going to try and drag out my the TD i just purchased and see if i can get it running. (my GT is just a little to rough to go to a car show. Not that the TD is much better)
Now if some one will sell me a bench seat set up for it I would be most appreciative... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif
If the weather's good (not raining),I've heard that it's a really good show.
Talk to Joel,Don,or anyone else in your local club who's been there. We even have a "local" who usually takes
his early Spitfire.
Hmmm, maybe I will try to get to that show in May. I am planning on getting the 3.07 rear end under the V8 before then and picking up the factory hardtop I have in UT. Hmmmmm........
I believe it can be done, its probably easier to get a C rear end complete. I have heard of 3.07 setups with ring and pinion into a B diffy case that are noisy because of improper backlash. Plus I thtink the inside has to be machined out to accept the larger ring gear. The ratio is actually 43/14.
