Any Jensen Interceptor Gurus Out There?

Thinking about buying an Interceptor and needed some tips. Anybody out there?

Driveline is just about bullet-proof, the electrics are more complex than the average British car. When they're right they're great... when they've been 'bodged' they can be a money pit... I guess that makes 'em about the same as most of the other LBC's we insist on owning. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Watch out for "ScotchLoks" in the harness, "extra" wires run to things; the usual tell-tale signs to indicate good or bad owner/maintenance over its life. A great number of the pieces are common to other marques as well.

and no matter what you're lookin' at, look for evidence of rust and/or impact damage. Do you have a particular car in sight or is this a general search?

And welcome to the BCF! There will be others along shortly so expect quick responses here.

In an earlier posting I think I mentioned the Jensen Owners Club, based in the UK. They run an Interceptor Technical forum and also one devoted to Jensens (of all kinds) for sale. You might ask there. The site is free to join.

Mostly a general search, although I have peeked at some pictures of an Interceptor on the classifieds here.

They look like fun cars to drive.......

Great touring cars. I've owned 3 of them!
