Any James Brown fans out there?

Oh, yeah!

My next-door neighbor is a young attorney names James Brown (and we always call him "James").

I'm always asking him if he "feels good" and "Where's you Cape?"...stuff like that. :jester:

As for the "real" James Brown.....he's fun!

na ne na ne na nenanana!

I always liked the spoken bits in front of James Brown's later J.B.'s era stuff. You knew you were getting something hot if he was discussing it with Bobby Byrd.

"What you gonna play now?"
"Bobby, I don't know. But whatever it is, it's got to be funky!"

I wonder how a cape would look on a guy working on a TR6?

Greg,

The tights might be pushing it, depending on how much attention the guy was trying to get. I guess that it's not beyond the realm of possibility in todays world.

As good an entertainer as he was, all acts grow old after a while. That act of singing his song, then leaving, then coming back, then leaving and on and on, got audiences tired and he began to lose them in droves.

Curtain calls and encores are generally accepted "rewards" in show business, IF the crowd is calling a performer back. But doing "self encores over and over" is tedious at best and after a while, the crowds just fade away.
