Any Interesting Summer Road Trips Planned?

What interesting summer road trips do other BCF'ers have planned?

I'd like to do the Iceland Ring Road, maybe next summer after I get the Jensen Healey sorted this summer.

Or maybe, just to "warm up", a drive through France and a trip over the Millau suspension bridge.

While not nearly as scenic, perhaps, we're still planning on a caravan with some other TR nuts to VTR in Valley Forge in July.

That is, if I EVER get my engine back from the machine shop...

Got to get it back soon, so's I can put some miles on it beforehand!

1949 MG TC:

Los Angeles to Park City, Utah. Travelling through Arizona, Utah, Nevada and Northern California.

Round trip: 3,000 miles.

Hyundai Santa Fe: NYC to Cape Cod, to Maine, to central Mass., and back again.

St. Louis, MO to Burlington, VT by way of Port Huron, MI and Kingston, ON with other Healeys. No idea at all yet on how we'll come home - but we'll probably be solo. Fingers crossed it will be the first long trip with the Toyota 5 speed.

3K in a TC!
OK, Steve wins! Hands down! (but kudos to the other Brit-car drivers for a good effort).

My Brit roadster will "road-trip" to Watkins Glen, Lime Rock, the Pittsburgh Vintage at BeaveRun (plus another club race at The BeaveR next weekend), Summit Point (twice more...it's been there once already), and two more trips to Pocono.

But all on a trailer pulled by my Ford van.

Also, (sans race car) a week at Rehobeth Beach (Delaware) and another week at Ocean City (Maryland). In Miata or van...depends.

Since James has included a nice waterfall scene, I'll include a picture of the Watkins Glen "glen". We always go to visit it when we're there.

well, when I get my TR roadworthy I'm looking forward to going from one end of the driveway to the other ...

James - I've done part of the Ring Road - Snaefellsnes to Hofn. The waterfalls are fantastic, and the road below Vatnajokull is unreal - seemingly hundreds of rivers.

Góða ferð!

TR2s up on blocks. so no road trippin in that this year Will also hit Watkins, but that's only 20 miles from here.
This year I'm going to brave commercial flight for the first time in my life, and we're going down to Puerto Rico for a week.
Maybe I'll even meet TInster. hehehehehe. OK,OK, so visiting Dale was a big part of making the trip. But maybe My biggest road trip this year will be a ride in the elusive Crypt car. I'll go and scare the blocks out from under it!

I hoping to get the British cars out & drive them.
We will be taking a trip (in our Son's Saturn),from
Eureka - Salt Lake City - St Louis - Tennessee-Jacksonville,Florida).I'm hoping to meet some of you on the way.

Shore thang, Doug - Let me know when you pass by here! It's usually "beer-thirty" 'round these parts...

I don't have it routed out yet, but we're doing a week and a half driving vacation.

We're heading to Grand Rapids 7am on Wed, August 8th - for John Twist's Summer Party. I'm running the Endurance Rally with Mary Coxon (KLUTZ's wife) and then the show is Saturday I believe.

Sunday we're leaving, driving to Niagara Falls, then Toronto, St. Jacobs ON and some Canadian countryside, back over to upstate New York to hook up with George & Nancy Herschell for a day. I'd like to swing by Cleveland on the way back and hit the Rock & Roll Museum, but not if I have to run interstates the whole time.

No idea on routes or stops. If anyone has any suggestions or is on the way - speak up!

Holler when you come through STL Doug. It's always BeerO:30 here!
