Anti-theft devices

This easy and cheep job. Splice a switch into the wire comming into or going out of the ignition. Mount that switch under the dash where you can get at it easly, like tape against the stearing column. Get your switch at ACE Hardware, "The Friendly Place" a regular single pole single throw 110v switch and go for it.

Enjoy your new security, no holes to drill, only one wire to cut and easy to get to. If you know where to look.

I have a different twist on my 76 Midget. I wired a switch located on the right side of my radio console to interrupt the hot lead to the starter solenoid. I also wired it so that it is off when it looks on.....I also have a battery disconnect switch on the battery but I only use that when I am not going to be driving the car for a while, or when I am working on the electrics.

This has certainly worked for me so far, but never say never.

Yea Electronics are a pain but just think of this as plumbing. The liquid follows the wires.

True. I just don't want to accidentally put too much liquid through the wires where it can be handled. Or hook up the pipes the wrong way (which I once did on an old '67 VW Bug after just buying a Pertronix Ignitor, resulting in $100 down the drain).

Ask Ben for some help, he knows about beer pipes, hehe.
