I know grease is not a good thing.
The radiator came off easy. No one said it would take three times as long to get the water pump off the block.

That's my nomination for quote of the week!Andy65 said:Keoke, I can see using Coppaslip for the tap threads, but do I really want to use Coppaslip as lubricant inside the valve? Seems like it would be gooey. Plus, how does the copper react with the antifreeze and will it dissolve water? There is a lubricant for ball valves and I'm going to find it!
Good group of people here - kind of like BJ8 brake drums - slightly off balance but functional.
It will be great to get the Healey back on the road.
There is a lubricant for ball valves. I just rebuilt my kitchen sink ball type (the single handle type) valve and used this lubricant. It's available in small quantities at Home Depot.Andy65 said:Keoke, There is a lubricant for ball valves and I'm going to find it!
