TR6 Anti run-on valve question for 73 TR6

When fitting the front swaybar today I disconnected the radiator to get some room. to get the the offside I had to remove the canister and the "anti-run on valve".

Two problems:

1. There are two electrical connections going into this thing. They weren't connected and I'm not sure which of the loose wires lying around they are, and the manuals are useless. Can anyone help?

2. There are two hose connections into this thing. The first is from the canister above. That one is fine. The second is a smaller diameter. The BL manual describes it as a "vacuum signal pipe". It is missing (actually the connector is broken off as well). Can anyone tell me where it goes to?

Oh and the final question - the car seems to be running ok without this stuff. Should I let sleeping dogs lie? Fix it? Get rid of it?

Alan,

1) On the '75 & 76 cars two wires connect to the anti-run on valve; a white w/purple tracer that runs to the oil pressure switch and a brown with a red tracer that runs to the ignition switch. I would assue it it the same on yours.

2) The smaller hose runs from the anti-run on valve to the banjo connection on the intake manifold. This connection has two fittings (nipples), one for the brake servo and one for this hose from the anti-run on valve.

As for the other, your decision. I have never experienced any issues with it. It does nothing to alter the performance of the engine except at shut-down.
