HI JM, About the upper bracket where the end link fittings go it is the weak link in the chain. I will eventually beef them up with a stay but simply straighted them this time. See you later---Keoke
 
Well, that was worth having a beer or two over. I've really enjoyed reading this thread and my aim was achieved: I learned a lot more about handling.

I've changed to other tires (185/15) which has already improved the handling of the car.

But as I don't intend to go racing, I am most interested in, like James presumed correctly /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif, that I want to upgrade to a 7/8" full bolt-on kit with polyurethane bushes.
In a second round I'll then consider other springs, etc.
As soon as I've done this, i'll let you know if it has made a difference. Maybe I'll be able to discuss this with some of you at the International Healey weekend in the U.K.

After fitting an uprated bar my brackets on the wishbone eventually cracked. Mind you they were 40years old and corroded. I got new ones from Denis Welch - apparently they use the same on the racers
