TR2/3/3A Another wiring query...faded wiring colors.

I'm connecting the wiring from the stator tube to match their appropriate connections. There is supposed to be a green wire that is supposed to go to the flasher unit but the wire coming from the control head is "lime"green with a brown or red stripe?....is this the flasher wire? The wire that I assume goes to the left turn signal is supposed to be green/red but it looks like green/brown as the color has faded out! Anyone been there lately and can confirm that the "lime"green wire goes to the flasher unit connector? Hope this makes sense.

The lime green may be Triumph's Light Green (LG).

A quick look at (possibly) the correct wiring diagram for your car shows the connections at the flasher unit to be Green , Green/Brown [P], and Light Green [L].

Are you working with a wiring diagram?

Let's look at the wires coming out of the stator tube. None of them are a solid color.
One of them is green with red, and another is green with brown. It's often difficult to
tell brown stripe from red stripe. There is also a green with white wire & I'm guessing
that one is easy to identify.
OK, so disconnect the battery, ignition key off, RIGHT tun signal on. You will have
continuity between the green w/white wire and the green w/brown wire. Once you have
identified the green w/brown, that's the wire that goes to the "L" connector of the
flasher. The other end is one of the ones coming out of the loom at the left fender well.
If you have trouble identifying that green w/brown, find continuity with the one at the
"L" connector at the flasher.
Once you have that circuit isolated, the left-over green w/? wire from the stator tube
is green w/red, the left turn light.
(FYI, the solid light green wire attached to the "P" connector of the flasher goes to
the blinker light on the dash and the solid darker green wire attached to the "X"
connector goes to the fuse block)
