Wedge Another Wedge head has joined us

Don -

It's a Mitsubishi color - "Lava Red"; pearl metallic.

The 390 CFM holley? What cam did you go with?
I was wanting to upgrade to a 4 bbl and headers but haven't really figured out which way to go.

Interesting. When I posted that tour car wasn't in yet. I was asking the new guy.
Your car already tics me off it looks so nice.

It's a metallic green.
I was going to paint it flat black while I get the body straightened out.

I am not sure- it's been resprayed- but the trunk interior is a metallic green, close but not as dark.

Got the setup from The Wedge Shop. The Holley is 600 CFM - model # 0-80457/S. I know the engine "should" only require 390 CFM, but this works flawlessly!

Cam is a 288 Erson - good midrange and nice "burble" in the exhaust note.

That should be "Poseidon" - check the color code on the tag - should be HAF.

Who'd you buy it from?

I bought it from Jason Clark about a year and a half ago. He had a couple of them he had sold before I got to this one. In fact he had a hard top that I wished I had bought.

Nice guy- last I heard he has been wedge free for more than a year and a half now.

The last V8 I had was a 318 in a dodge dart (in 1985) I put a dual plane intake and a 600 CFM holley- it wouldn't open the vacuum secondaries until I put a hotter cam in it.

I have a picture of the trim tag: it says HAF for the paint and Something AG for the trim

Mickey- Where do I find the Erson # on my Specs.

Which number?

Check here for their catalog - yours should be one of these (page 10):

Erson Cam

Probably explains mine, then. Oh, I also had the machine shop clean up the heads' passages - not ported, really; just deburred the castings.
