It's been seven weeks since the bike crash that broke my ankle, and I had another followup with the docs today. They took x-rays again (first time since the surgery) and we chatted about what the saw.
In short, everything is looking good. The doc, who was the surgeon who did the work on me, said that I'm essentially as healed as I should be at this point. I won't need to see them again unless I start to have problems. Good news!
I start physical therapy next Tuesday to wean me off the boot and crutches. I imagine that won't be much fun, but it certainly needs to be done. Amazing how much muscle and movement you loose after seven weeks.
I'm a good patient, though, and I do as I'm told. I *really* want to be back to 100% so I'll do what it takes.
Onwards and upwards...
