Directly overhead, heading 180 degrees, look of the wings, fuselage, and the radial, thinking TBM.

Is a TBM similar to a T6 Texan?

Torpedo Bomber, rear gunner, radioman (I think) below rear turret, window on side of fuselage.

This one was Navy Blue, with appropriate markings.

The TBM is much larger, heavier and a lot more powerful.

In 1962, there was a complete TBM close to me for sale for $3500.00 . There was also an airworthy AT-6 where I kept my Stearman, for sale for $2500.00.

There were quite a few Avengers flying as aerial fire bombers for years.

I used to see them all the time when I lived in Missoula MT. The forest service didn't want to use single engine bombers, so they retired them. As far as I know they never had the wings fall off unlike some more recent incidents.

Dave, ya see the Zero cruising around on Labor Day

They had a historic air show at Paine Field on that week end

Yeah.....just finished racking out the Bofors Gun when it went away. Dang.
