Been a few years, so wife, I and TR4 went to Yellowstone. Kind of an adventure this time. The fires forced us to change plans a few times while in the Park. The TR as usual ran fine, no problems, the top was off by mid morning (the TR, a bit to chilly for the wife). We drove to our cabin south of Red Lodge on Thursday, about 70 miles from the Park. Friday morning we drove over 11,900 ft Beartooth pass spent Friday night in West Yellowstone and returned to the cabin on Saturday evening. Covered about 575 miles, I've owned this TR for over 40 years and I still get real enjoyment out of driving it.
Talked to a lot of folks, the TR always attracts attention, met tourists from Austria and England.
The weather was great, probably one of the last really good weekends to be in Yellowstone.
Once again I will offer my hospitality. The cabin is available. There is enough room to park a tow vehicle and trailer if you choose to tow your LBC. Probably to late this year, the pass will snow shut for the season fairly soon. think about it for next year.
