Installing my rebuilt calipers. Do I need a copper washer between this hose and the caliper? (see attachment) The hose did not come with a washer and neither Moss nor VB show it in their catalog

Yes, it needs one. You should be able to reuse the old one. You're right about the catalogs, but then the factory parts book does not list it either.
