Saw this on Ebay:

TVR 2500M

Seller claims it is one of 20 cars built for export to the US in '75, anyone know if thats accurate? Pics leave a bit to be desired but the car looks decent from what you can see.

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif I just love "rare car" stories

Perhaps it was one of 20 2500M's imported in 1974... (or maybe not?)

But a TVR 2500M in left-hand-drive isn't that uncommon here, look around a little and there are plenty of them to be had.

Probably more like one of 200 imported. These are great TVR's that are very easy to work on. The Glass work is excellent and much thicker than earlier cars.

I don't know. The 20 number sounds correct for 1975. Remember, in January there was a fire that destroyed just about every car plus the entire factory. Production didn't restart until April and wasn't back to normal until late 1975. Plus I think I remember something about most of the post-fire 75's being 3000M's for Europe. 946 2500M's were made from 1972-1977 worldwide, and while the car was marketed primarily to the US, it was not the only place it was sold. I think I remember reading year by year production figures along with markets, maybe Marshall (mrtvr) has this in one of his books?
