I know how to test if the bushing are worn out, move it from side to side.

Now, how about its serviceability? The arm has lots of resistance when moved back and forth and their are no leaks. Is that it? It is out of the car of course.
 
Should be lots of resistance both ways..& it should be dry
 
Aye, that's it, end of story?
 
Just make sure that if you switch directions, the resistance is immediate. If you can move it a bit before the resistance kicks in, then it needs rebuilding.
 
Well, you could drain them, clean them up (inside) & add new mineral oil - but why bother? Just clean the outside & reinstall...
 
Ahh, thanks Matt. Yep Tony that's what is going to happen. Going to have to have one rebuilt though, no rush there either.
