So, Doc likes Italian & British cars; I like German & British cars.

Just found this; talked with owner & am going to look at it tomorrow...who knows it could become a great stablemate for my 380SL (oh, it's a 1990 560SEC):

Mmmmmmmm, dat's nice! That would be a good addition, and am I to assume that you are going to be stealing it?
I hope so.......if it's the right car.

Yep! From 1985 to 1991 it was Mercedes' flagship vehicle; 28,929 were produced world-wide!

This post got me thinking - which is a DANGEROUS thing! LoL - with all the cars in your kingdom, which ones are the King and Queen of the GarageMahal?

At least you can fit a trailer hitch so you can tow all the non-running LBCs around...

hehehehehe...well, he called & something came up so we can't get together today...told him it would have to wait until we get back from N'Awlins....hope it doesn't sell before I get a chance to look it over.

Looks like the "officers" car. Big 'ol slug. Personally I'd like an early 80s 300d turbo wagon. there's a nice one that frequents our shop. I just gotta convince him to sell it.. Oh yea and make some money magically appear.

Truth to tell, Ben, I was hoping to come across a 300D Turbo wagon but Diesela came along at too good a deal to ignore.

Hey, ya gotta take what comes.I'd settle for the non-turbo Diesel if the deal was right. then just grin at all the frustrated people stuck behind me as I slowly pull away from all stoplights. Mehehehehehe.
I know where one sits, but it's been neglected, and MB parts are not cheap! Ya gotta be able to pay the extra up front for a well cared for model, or you'll wind up paying triple to fix it.( I know, I'm preachin to the choir)
Anyhoo. I can't wait to see a pic of Tony drivin that mafia wagon with a fedora on. classy ride.

I'm home now - gotta contact him as I get settled in to see if it's still available.

~in my best Godfather voice~ "I'll make you an offer you can't refuse."
Eh Ton-ee?

I'm not getting back in a car for the entire week!

If it's available next week, I'll go look at it.

~IF~ it runs well and everything works, it can be a joy... If some things are workin' "funny" or it runs out with someting feeling "not quite right" it'll break yer heart (not to mention your wallet).

You're 'seasoned', Colonel. Don't go for it on gut reaction, or even low price. Use condition and driveability as the arbiters. Please!?!

I know, Doc, I know....
