Six-cylinder Rootes engine?

What other Rootes Group cars shared it, I wonder?

That's a BMC C-type engine by the looks of it. Pretty sure it never saw Ryton.
Rootes Group's contemporary 6-cylinder engine was fitted to the Humber Super Snipe. Later ones certainly were crossflow, I'm not sure about 1959 though.
