Hi Folks,
Many years ago I bought a 1974 Triumph TR6 (my dream car as an 18 year old that I couldn't then afford), restored it to show condition, and later had to let it go in a divorce (painful...not the divorce, but letting the car go!). Anyway, after many years away from LBCs I'm restoring a 1976 TR6 (two-years this month) which is nearly finished. I've put some photos up at the website below if you're interested. I look forward to leveraging the expertise of all of you in keeping this car on the road for many years to come!

Here's the site, and regards,

Jeff -

From the pictures, looks like some leveraging will be right back at ya!

Thanks Mickey. I have put some work into it, but will nonetheless have a true British mechanic with me when we turn it over!

Howdy Jeff,

As an "Ex" PA resident (Pocono Mtn. Area); I`d like to "Welcome" you back to the "Wonderful World of LBCs" & to "THEE" best Brit Car Forum anywhere.

Your TR looks "Outstanding"!! I`m a detail freak myself & love all of the work you`ve done so far.

Best Wishes,

Russ

Thanks Russ to you, and to all, for the warm welcome to the Forum!

Hiya Jeff, welcome aboard.

Media, PA... spent a lot of time in my youth in/around your area, Conshohocken, Macungie, Perkiomen... Great roads up there north of you!

Jeff,

Welcome.Nice TR!Where did you buy it at?
Have you been to the show in Fort Washington?
I've attended twice.
My Wife's family was in the Allentown area,
been there a few times.

Thanks you for the warm welcome gents.

Yes - some very nice roads in this part of eastern PA. As for the car, I bought it two years ago next week over eBay (sight unseen), after getting a good feeling for its Atlanta owner, a very prideful TR fanatic. He'd decided to let it go in order to restore a 1974 Datsun 240Z. The pictures of it on the truck being delivered are as I received it. Superb condition with 12850 original miles (he had all original ownership records). I've taken it to the next (final?) level in the last two years with a complete frame-on restoration (don't think I've missed a nut, bolt, bushing, fastener, cable, wire, connector, label, or paint scratch). Anyway, I'm sure I'll need your expertise when I crank it up and something doesn't sound or react right!

Regards,
Jeff

Welcome to the Forum! :savewave:

Hi Jeff,

Sorry I missed this and welcome. Another Chester County resident here. As you know, it's a great area for driving these cars.

Jeff Welcome to the forum ! A lot of us british car nuts here in PA. There is a nice MG show in Maryland this weekend. Your TR is sweet ! Take care, Bob

Hi Rich - thanks very much. From the looks of your photos you could certainly teach me a thing or two. Welding is way beyond my capabilities. Thankfully I found a car that was 85% there - all I had was the remaining 15%. I can tell you're a fastidious guy, so no doubt the car will be magnificent when complete. I'd be glad to help where (and if) I can. Look forward to it!

Jeff
