MGA another MGA MKII piston question

Ok I went with the new piston/ ring set from moss.
My question now is: are the wrist pins in these new pistons supposed to be that tight!
I have to use a brass drift and a small hammer to get them to move in the pistons.
The small end of the rods have the pinch bolts, and I believe the old pistons moved freely between the wrist pin and the piston
Somthing dosen't seem right.

hi..

yes, they are tight! I have doen things like put the wrist pins in the freezer overnight before installation... just that very, very minor shrinkage has made the job easier sometimes...I have smartened up though, now, and have my machine shop assemle the rods and pistons during final machining ...prevents for unaccounable accidents...

I was able to contact Moss. The spec is for .008. They said .007 is too tight!
Well these are at .000. So the rep said to have me send them back, and he'd send out another set.
I've done the freezer trick. Or more commonly I have put the pistons in a bath of hot oil. Works like a charm.
But these are supposed to slip in by hand, and "float" and they did not.
Thanks for the input.
