Sure is a beautiful Nasty Boy and looks like a lot of fabrication went into the build, which isn't cheap. Those headers alone must have taken a lot of hours, although the design baffles my admittedly low tech understanding of exhaust theory. Price is "optomistic."
Rick, I must admit it is very well built. I didn't look at all the pics before my last comments. But I was focusing on the fact they were calling that a 100.
I compare this car to the hot rod builds you see on TV. Someone with deep pockets has an idea of a car they've always wanted and contracts with a builder to turn those ideas into reality. Lots and lots of time in fabrication at $80-100 an hour or more and before you know it, the cost of the build is in the stratosphere. The owner is usually ok with the cost because they have the money and the car was their dream. But when it's time to sell, the car ends up on the auction block at someplace likie BJ and they tout the build cost, but reality is they only go for a fraction of that.
Even if they got the Healey model name wrong, they at least got the engine color right.
Maybe those are Canadian dollars,it has Ontario plates. $250K in Canadian dollars will only get you a BigMac and fries.LOL
I'm just a newbie even with CDN$ it's at least 3-4 X over priced.
Rick, I can't make it to Stowe again this year, wah, wah, wah. My local Corvette Club has a show at the same time every year and I have some responsibilities with it. But I have already established that next year will be the year for Stowe. A buddy from Mass is going to meet me there with his Midget. I will be driving the Healey.
