Post-War Other Another Ebay Herald

Sorry to see this billed the way it is: "...altough this Triumph has been in dry storage there is a large section of the frame that is missing in the rear driverside corner of the car due to Iowa rust. This Triumph is an excellent parts candidate to replace your rusted body." I'm guessing he means the rear "outrigger" that more or less supports the trunk area of the body. That's one of the first areas to rust on a typical Herald, but good quality replacement parts are readily available. It would be a shame for someone to buy and part out what looks to be an otherwise very solid Herald.

But then, I can't save 'em all.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Frankly, the "Buy it Now" price is a steal!

Looks like a steal, but its to far away /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

So did they import the rust into Texas from Iowa?

I guess I should snap a few pictures of my Colorado/New Mexico Herald convertible to show these folks what "dry storage" really does for a car. Living in an area of very little moisture has a few small benefits. I feel very fortunate that there are still cars to be found that really have very little rust. The ebay Herald looks salvagable, it would be a shame to part it out. I'll bet I could supply the missing frame pieces.
