Built for the British by Daimler, the "Dingo" was a WW II personnel carrier, of sorts.
I wonder why they named it Dingo? Doesn't look like it had much of a bite!

You laugh -- I came *this close* to buying a Ferret last year. It was fully restored and wasn't much more expensive than, say, a concours TR3. I recall it had a Rolls straight six and ZS carbs and lucas electrics. Would have been just like working on one of our other cars. Only heavier! Part of me still wants one. Would be sure to win some sort of prize at the next British Car Day!

I love it!!

If you want a real British truck collectible, you just have to buy an Alvis Stalwart... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alvis_Stalwart

I know of a collector in Ontario that owns one, I never did get to see it, the problem being that the effort to just get it to a car show was massive because the truck is so big and heavy...

A "Ferret", Bill?!?!

...you're my new hero! :smirk:

There was a Stalwart at the British Car Show in Sussex, WI a couple of years back. I could not believe my eyes when I saw it. Lemmee see if I have the piccy lurking around somewhere.......
