What do you think Peter Green thinks of this...or can he think????

Maybe he'd think "What, they couldn't find a chick to play the drums?"

My daughter would have volunteered
Actually she sent me the vid

Hey Greg, You work in the film business as a computer something or other , Don't you?

Not in the same vein as your daughter. I've done graphics to make props. Think Photoshop or Illustrator. I haven't done much with that in the last few years. Feature films have left the L.A. area. Not wanting to go on location to shoot, I have moved over to TV.

OK,sorry I meant some sort of visual arts ala film or TV.
So you do some sort of computer design for prop making?

Greg, do you know the guy that ruined Star Trek by replacing all the great 60s special effects with CGI. If so tell him I have a bone to pick with em.

Good stuff!

I'm always amused that the music our generation... generated... is still relevant and the younger groups are redoing it. I remember when Fleetwood Mac released that one - '69 or '70 maybe?

Some years ago, my son came home from school and said, "Dad - just heard this great new song" and then he sang a verse of it.

I said, "Oh yeah, that's 'Mississippi Queen', done by Mountain way back. And by the way, you're welcome - MY music!"

I've made driver's licenses, photo ID badges, book covers, posters, legal documents, framed photos, images displayed on computers, product labels. For many years now, legal clearance to use actual products has become a nightmare. It is usually faster to just make your own stuff than wait for the cogs of the legal department turn. There are a couple places in town that have supposedly cleared labels and such. They have a fake look to them though. While fine for TV (HD is changing that) feature films have a bigger, higher resolution screen where better props are needed.

LOL, I'll look into it. I was watching a show on the making of Star Trek a couple years ago. They said the whole transporter concept came up because they didn't have enough money to make a shuttle craft. The shuttle appeared in the second season I believe.

Reminds me of a friend who one day told me his high school daughters came home and were telling him about this great new band they'd hear that they were sure would strike it big. The band name, Aerosmith... He didn't have the heart to tell them they'd been at it since he was their age.

Don,

Who's "Peter Green"? Friend of Miley Cyrus,Kim Kardashian?

Not to pick you of the younger generation apart, but I think that ,(music?), sucks! Almost as bad as Wrap Cr_p! To me it's just a bunch of noise that I can do without! A lot of harmful effects came out of that that stuff from the 60s on and screwed up the values of many of our younger generation! Some survived it, many didn't! Sorry, but I know of a few cases and their not pretty. I have a sister that is messed up to this day because of the, FREE SPIRIT of the Joplin era and caused my parents more grief than they should have ever experienced, aside from years of doctors bills etc. They say music can change the world, yes it can, some good, some bad. JMHO. PJ

I kind of look at it that the era caused the music...not the music caused the era
