While I was in the Navy stationed in Jacksonville, Florida and a body shop that was painting my BJ8 was also painting a Sprite very much like this one. The Sprite had a racing history and the owner of the Sprite said he had a magazine with a story of the Sebring race in it and photos of the car(I believe), racing. The wheels had "Healey" molded into them. The owner of the Sprite was also the president of Brumos Porsche. The car was sold to someone "up north" and I believe he said it went to a museum?? He also said he had the car up to speed and it was quite fast.

One might imagine that the reserve is far in advance of the current $24,000-ish bid.

Museum piece, really. Interesting, thanks for posting.
