Sooo, the draft excluder is just an extension of the door seal orrr in English an extension of the draft excluder!!

Might explain why I have a draft from that area!! Mine just ends.:frown-new:

Yes, it continues alongside the door opening up towards the windshield and tucks under the dash trim panel
 
Material for the carpet may have come from Stock Interiors. I will check. Had a local upholstery shop do the work.

Thanks Ray. I think I'll start requesting swatches of carpet from major suppliers. Your color appears to be about right to replace the carpet's in my Tartan red Mk3 Sprite. Still have a good original color match from carpets under the seats.

I am very happy with my Stock Interior carpet - but, it doesn't quite match the red piping on the seats. look carefully for a match.
