Mannnnnn, I remember when the pedals were direct drive. Those guys have it easy. That and the front wheel was solid plastic, no rubber.
 
There's an error somewhere. The video's label had the word "Adult" in it.

Kinda cool, but lets see them do that going uphill, like a real hillclimb...
 
Whoa, what a hoot. I can just see me zooming down Hwy 9 in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Even at 63 I would do it if the wife would let me, better then as a kid going down hill, flat out on your belly lying on a Flexi-flier.

Although, somebody posted a link, here I think, to some guys who just jumped off a cliff in the Alps, wearing some crazy winged suits -- and they just flew around the mountains for a while before a parachute landing. That's crazy too...

At least the land-luge guys usually have roads that are closed periodically for them to do their thing. That other guy in traffic is downright dumb.

That actually looks like fun!
 
The big wheels thing looks like fun, although it's a bit tame compared to land luge (which I've tried) which just feels ridiculously fast due to how low you are on the sled. The rollerblade thing looks awesome, although I doubt I could do it because I can't really ice skate or rollerblade well.

I agree, doing such things on unsecured public roads is a bad idea.

I am actually quite a fan of Jean Yves Blondeau! He developed this "suit" while in design school. here is a video that shows/explains his set-up a bit better than the Alpine Pass video!
