yeah, x'cept I'm belly-laughin' to convulsions...

no way to "discuss" folly.

The process of elimination must have been excruciating.

I was expecting something completely different. Very interesting article. At first, when I only saw names like Chevy Cavalier, Ford Taurus and Explorer, I thought what are they talking about. Then I read the specifics and completely understood the choices. It will be interesting to see where this all ends up.....

Wallets.

I object...

The Pinto was a wonderful car

Cept for that one little problem

Absolutely worst car, Cadillac Cimarron, Chevy Cavalier with a few chrome plastic trinkets and hood ornament. How they thought they could sell this crap for thousands more is beyond me. I worked for GM for 22 years. I quit in 1999.

Phoenix was just a cosmetic Cavalier, yes? Remember the name, don't remember the car.....

And how about the Chrysler K car that was supposed to save the company?? Or the Chevy Monza (If you got the V8 you had to jack the engine to change the plugs!)

bugimike, i much agree with the list of bombs, and could add to it, ive always thought of these cars as being what should have been no matter what the sticker price inexpensive basic transportation, but what i didnt understand is the large number of people that continued to put lots ah money into repairs of these cars long after they were kaputt, to me that shows the lack of understanding of what they bought in the first place, not realy car guys/gals. wonder how many folks on the healey forum had bought any of these and why or for whom, i.e. granny, a kid going off to school, to deliver news papers, just to get to the train station every day, etc, for sure not to take to "cars and coffee". even in my most needy time for transportation while going to college i never bought one of these, i stayed with a couple or three used vw's and would never think of buying anything on the list no matter how low the price.
