And how was YOUR long weekend?

My first test run in my MGB was the 350+ mile round trip to Tony's house for more parts - hehehehe (all backroads, because it shimmied bad over 45 mph). The first time I ever drove the Alfa was the 175 miles (interstate this time) home from Tony's. Jeez, you guys gotta start taking some serious first drives
hehehehe....& you didn't get out of my driveway with the Alfa before the pressurized fuel line popped off the injection system....& I had been driving it for weeks without that problem!

Did a 250 mile round trip to Champagne British Car show, to test the new gearbox, do a bit of a shakedown before the Ozarks adventure.
Got 2nd place. Got a sunburnt neck. Got home & grilled.

I drove up to the top of Angeles Crest on Sunday and was greeted with DENSE cloud cover... errr... I was in the clouds at 6500ft altitude and they were THICK, and 32F temps and SNOW everywhere I looked... in Southern California... in late Spring... There was no snow up there this time last year.

I couldn't make it out for the Malibu drive on Memorial Day. So, my drive on Sunday was a little consolation prize to myself. Aside from creeping along at 25MPH and dodging fallen rocks that would do serious damage to your suspension every 1/4 mile or so (while in the dense clouds), it was a fun drive, especially after I got back out of the clouds

Here's a few pics I took on my way back down just after I cleared the cloud cover...

These first 3 are of the Angeles Crest Hwy ("The 2") overlooking itself from about 6100ft... Lots of elevation change on this road to go with the switch backs

Of course, I couldn't resist taking pictures of what got me there while I was taking pics... it's not an LBC but it's growing on me, and for a new car it has "character", IMO

Chores, chores chores!!! But we did break loose on Sunday afternoon for a visit to a local winery for one of their monthly events. Buffet cover band, grilled food, neat stuff for sale & LOTS of wines. Must have been 700-1,000 people there and it seemed like everyone had a bottle of wine. They do a passable Shariz, so I bought a case. Drove the SP, and it ran like a top.
