When I was there this morn, he'd cleaned it up & was getting ready to shoot etch primer on it...thought I'd get photos of that Wed when I go to pick my car up...after he etches it, he's gonna do a little more sandblasting....said he'd start 'working' the bonnet after etch primer as it doesn't need anymre blasting.
 
Yep, where he's gonna do a little additional blasting is in the rear wheelwells & underneath where the PO had lathered undercoating on the car so thinck it had to be scraped off...all that undercoating is both a boon & a bane...it protected the car but is causing headaches getting it off...the first sandblasting took most of it off but then it had to be scraped & chemically treated to remove enough so it could then be blasted clean.

Oh, Jerri followed me over as I was dropping my 380SL off to have it sanded (3000) & buffed to get max shine out of the new clear coat...she reminded him of her Bug & he told her he was making room in shop to get it in...& he's hired another bodyman to help out....

Gesh, another month or so, how will I stand it?

Already have the best looking yard around, guess it is going to get even more love. Got to keep busy.
