An Expensive Day

Holy moly....

The bigger the picture, the worse it looks.

How was your head?....Did you take a little nap after that one?
Or just stagger around a bit?

Actually, Dave, I was fine, except for a bruise the size of a nickel on the inside of my knee. I hit it on the steering column support that I forgot to pad. I didn't realize how bad the car was until I got out of the meat wagon, and watched it being hoisted back into my paddock spot. And then, the track pickup truck arrived with the rest of the parts. I went back out to the site a year later, and still found some bits!
Did you notice the car that caused it all? A bloody GT4 PINTO!
Jeff

Yipes that's a scary one.....

How did the hoop hold up?

Did they throw a red on that one?

The cage held up admirably. Scuffed some paint on the top.
Yeah, they tossed the red. I got the 8 points by them reverting to the last completed lap, and I was in second, then. I was actually leading when this happened.

Yea-but....How cool is that....

Most people don't even have that much to show for their $

Perfectly framed pics BTW.....

Did the guy take sympathy on you and not charge you 'artwork' price?

Dave, after I had gotten to the paddock area, and things had settled down a bit, the photographer came over to me and said,"I don't know how you may feel about this, but I have these", and showed me the pictures. I said, "Cool! Got any more?"
Those were the only ones he had, as they were the last on the roll of film. He ran out to develop them right after I flipped, came back and GAVE me the pictures. I wish I could have seen the cartwheel, as I was told I was 20 feet in the air.

Yea.....The eight thousand is gone but....

Those are some [censored] cool pictures. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

I know people who spend more than that on one painting.
