Janel,
Thanks for the note, I wasn't sure that I had managed to get in contact with Lee's "car folks". He was so pleased to receive all the good will messages. He would just grin when he read them, which he did numerous times.
We had his best friend drive Lee's "Lizzie B" ahead of the limousine to the service, and then had it parked outside the building during the funeral. It was there for all to see and admire.
It's been a number of years since I've driven a "standard", and I'm not a very tall girl. So I never tried to drive his car. Always felt I'd have to lie down to reach the pedals. But he and I had talked about it a week or so before he left, my learning to drive her. And I've asked his good buddy to help me learn. So when it gets to be spring and my sorrows aren't so strong, I'm going to give it a shot. Maybe that way, I'll feel like Lee is by my side again. oops, sorry for the emotions.
Thanks again for being my Lee's friend, he spoke of you a number of times. Always with humor and pride in his voice. -peace-

Sorry, this made me cry. I cannot think of a better memorial to Lee than for his wife to do exactly what she is doing. I hoped she would keep the car...
~sniff~
Sorry for being such a girl about this.
