of amazing heroism: The 50-year old ex-Navy vet and NYC ironworker who lept onto the kid having a seizure in the NY subway... acted without hesitation, more than likely saved the guy's life. 20 minutes keeping the fellow safe between the rails while under the train! His actions give me hope there's still an America to look forward to. Where's the Medal for this guy?!?! Next few NY Lotto winners need to slip him a check or two! "The Donald" would be smart to cough up an award as well. A college scholorship apiece for his two pre-teen kids, mebbe.

Reassuring. Simply amazing.

HEAR, HEAR!! Doc. We can have hope that others will notice and try a little kindness every day. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

I ~new~ there was good in this cesspool of human society. Now if those Darwin Award winners would just weed themselves out a bit more quickly...

ok ok ok... I think I may have gone a bit far on that last statement.

You heard it here first, kiddies. "Somebody's listening." "The Donald" handed him a $10K check... he said it would go for his kids' college fund. City awarded him their medal, he's getting offers and humbly remarked he'd enjoy his "15 minutes" in spite of the fact he just did what ANYONE else should do...

WOW.

There are many great and wonderful things that people do in this world, but with our "if it bleeds it leads" media these days, we seldom hear about them.

Well I guess we will just have to change Doc's name from "doc" to Nostradamus cuz it happened pretty much as he prophesied.----Keoke- /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

The fella was interviewed on Letterman last night. He was awful darned funny, and not in a hammy sort of way, but just someone with a natural good sense of humor.

One of Letterman's better interviews too. He's just better when he's talking with non-celebs, particularly people who have done impressive things.

Unfortunately survival of the fittest seems to fail miserably when your dealing with humans.....I had my heart on that whole Y2K thing, but it didn't pan out!
