I wasn't expecting the clock to be working in my E-Type, but I didn't expect this:

Quite how that battery is supposed to do anything when its terminals are shorted like that I don't know. In the car, the spade connector for the power was connected to earth ...
 
I'm gigglin' like a six-year-old!!! That is a double spade connector for grounding the gauges, like a "daisy chain".

One PO was apparently a real DIY'er. :smirk:
 
I bet the PO was always wondering why his hear-aid batteries would never hold a charge! I believe that this is just the start...you are in store for many more surprises.
