I was driving around a couple a weeks ago and decided to go through my old neighborhood on the way back to work. I spot Bright red Amphicar on the carport of the house of an enthusiast (AH3000, E-type, MG TB, Ferrari owner, has good taste) I know.

As you may know the Amphicar went on both land and water, and is oft quoted as "not very good as a car or a boat, but where else can you find something that does both". They were made in Germany but used a Triumph motor, small four similar to that used in the early Spits and Heralds I think.

Anyway I always though they were cool, I took a picture with my phone, but I don't know much about phones, I can do post computer pics, but I don't know how to send a pic from my phone, let alone post it to the net.

The thing was red and in very good shape, I learned later the owner had had it out on the lake, and it was "sitting out to dry"

Many years ago I saw one heading into the water up in Vermont when I was on vacation. Neat to watch.
