Although I was (and still am) a great Yes fan the thing that takes me back to my university days was Sunday, bloody Sunday by U2. I didn't play it but I think it was the only song my mate in the next room owned. It seemed to be on a permanent loop.

A song that takes me back to my post-high school Basic Training and Tech School days in the Air Force is "You're So Vain" by Carly Simon. It was released in November 1972, the same month and year I enlisted. I would hear that song playing in the BX, when sitting in the barber's chair, seems like I heard it at least once a day the whole time I was in Tech School.
 
I pretty much liked anything Neil Young did. & CS&N (&Y) & James Taylor.
"Old Man", "Cinnamon Girl" and "Southern Cross", "Fire & Rain" being at the top of my list.

i'm so dated, I can't recall but a handful artist past the '80's.
 
Ah yes... JT and is Mud Slide Slim LP. Loved it. Collected them all since "Flying Machine."
 
while I'm not as up there in the years as most, I enjoy putting the Pandora channel on all of the oldies stations and just letting her run. oldies like 60's and 70's... They just don't make them with as much feeling and soul anymore.
 
Sometimes a garage listener, sometimes not, but when I'm not listening to regular radio, I created a Pandora channel with older R.E.M., Guadalcanal Diary, Let's Active, and some others in that vein. If they were from the South and played Rickenbacker guitars, I enjoyed them in my high school days.

"American Pie" singer and songwriter Don McLean and his wife have finalized their divorce and agreed to a $10 million settlement.

[FONT=&quot]McLean's wife Patrisha, an author and photographer, filed for divorce citing "adultery, cruel and abusive treatment, and irreconcilable differences" in legal papers.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]The couple had been married for about 30 years. They have two adult children.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]McLean, who lives in the coastal town of Camden, was arrested in January on charges including domestic violence assault. He has pleaded not guilty.[/FONT]
