Self-guided machines to handle all our wants and desires, following our every whisper!

Beware the "labor saving device".

Yeah. Huh?
If MS thinks this is a big enough issue to sue the Feds, it's big.
Just another reason to keep NOTHING on the cloud..or use Office 365, which uses the cloud.

Just another step in the rise of the machines. What happens when the little black box no longer wants to turn on the lights or unlock the door for you? 166404_006.jpg

which is precisely why I drew a line over nine years ago and said "no more".
No smart phones, no self-driving cars, no "modern" operating systems, no computerized climate control.....sure I'm a dinosaur, and a stick-in-the-mud, but I can function.
No key-fob entry for automobiles, no keyless ignition, no wireless throttles, the list goes on and on.
And with point-fired ignition, when the EMP blast happens, I get to keep going.
All I need is a hand pump to pump gasoline out of the ground tanks for the cars.

I love 365!
Since our company has gone to this
I get one extra cup of uninterrupted coffee in the morning while it loads
meetings that are scheduled in outlook magically are removed from mt calendar freeing my after noons and having customers wondering were we are
idont have emails trickling in all day instead they come in bunches40 50 at a time around 4:30
word excel power point take 2-3 minutes to start.
But im sure we are saving tons in license fees

I've heard some of that before. Not the bit of 40-50 e-mails dumping in at closing time.
I think I still have a copy of Office 95 around here you can use.
Back from the day MS used to make products that functioned.
