That's thinking about swapping my SUV for a truck?

Before you think I've lost my senses completely, look at lease prices on trucks right now. We have an LR3, and the lease is up in a couple of months.

An F150 with the bigger engine gets better gas mileage, will run on 87 and costs less to lease. Quite a lot less, actually.

As a bonus, it'll tow with a $50 hitch (which I have) rather than needing an $800 attachment that I didn't...

And think of all th' building supplies you can haul in a 150!!!

Thanks.
You had to go there didn't you.
Keep this up and I'll be commenting on how easy it is to weld an Elan...

De frame. De frame.

(apologies for the Fantasy Island ripoff)

'tiz a bit of a metal issue. Seems I gotta make seams.

Well it'll certainly overshadow the Smart cars people round here are using as station cars...

If you're in need of a truck, you can certainly get amazing deals these days. I was at a Ford dealer recently as part of a morning of small car shopping for a friend. You could almost taste the desperation! Long rows of trucks, SUVs, and V8 Mustangs. Show up with cash or financing secured and you can pretty much name your price.

I saw a commercial last night that they were bringing the Employee Pricing back into play. Looks like it is up on the 30th though.

Well I went to the Toyota dealer instead of the Ford dealer this evening. Pick up a brand new 2008 Tundra for 25% off list tomorrow evening. That's a decent deal all things considered...

Best of all it comes with a full tank of gas

I drove it home earlier. It's pretty nice. It's like a big powerful car with a ton of space to dump stuff at the back.

Now the biggest problem is going to be getting the keys off the missus - she wants it...

My pick up cost $500 gets 20 miles to the gallon already had a hitch on it and will pull darn near anything. For some reason I just can't see investing in a new pick up that won't last as long and cost me a ton more money.

Probably some obscure point. I think it was a they don't make em like they used to observation. Of course not making them like they used to is probably why there are so many more on the roads nowadays.

Here in TEXAS...The Lone Star State, my F-150 is an icon, not just transportation. That's why I own 2 F-150's. Now I'm a double Bubba! One thing I have noticed in my travels.... People here own pick ups as daily drivers. In other states and cities, I've noticed that a majority of pick ups have tool racks and signs on them and that they're used for utility. Here, theyre a necessity for us Bubbas! :cowboy:
