Am I out of my mind???

I spent the day with my carb and some gasket material and some goo.
Seems to have turned out ok, idles nice and even now and has good power on the test run.

Then I pulled the grill from my MK1 parts car and put it on Frankie...
He's all smiles now!

Glad it was in Washington or me wife would be helping me drag home another orphan...

Bill, you stole it. Shame on you.

Boy- RWA and a hardtop for 450??
Tempting but my wife would really shoot me!

It means the big bits have rusted completely away....

So Ed wants to go in with me on the car, he takes the hardtop and I get the rest of the car... hmmm... that is tempting...

Ed - maybe we should talk?

Makes me wonder what it would take to get that one running.
Oh boy, I really should be focused on getting the 5 speed into Frankie but...

Always wanted an RWA caqr with a 1275 in it.
Maybe my daughter could use it to go back & forth to college...

ewww... it's over in Olalla...

Maybe we could get it running over there and drive it home...

You guys are welcome to use my tow-dolly!
Nothing like a healthy bit of enabling.

Sounds like you guys in the Seattle area need to
find someone with property to buy,& store all of the
craigslist cars!

Billm--

I was in talks with the PO, but shied away when she said she hadn't the title yet. Did it all work out okay? What did you do to make sure you don't get screwed out of the $200.00 or end up with a stolen car? Just curious. I'm glad you scored it. Your pics are lot more flattering than the ones they had in the craigslist ad.

Playing with these LBC's you need to have hope that things will work out. If we didn't have that attitude these cars would drive us nuts!
Besides, she had (and gave me) a current copy of the registration which has her name on it and shows that she has owned it at that address for the past 6 years (a little paperwork sure does backup the hope that it is OK!!) and a handwritten bill of sale (which is the most important piece of paper in this state).
