Cool! This is the car from the Paris show. This isn't a gimmick either.....the new XJs will really be built from aluminum (but they'll be painted)....aluminum chassis too. No more rust!

I have a question that none of us can answer...YET. If the body and frame are Aluminum, how will the car ride ? The ride of Jaguar (and most other road cars) has always depended on, among other things, weight. I know that mine rides like a dream...If I wanted a ride like a Toyota or Nissan, I would own a Lexus or Infinity (oops I just offended someone, "SORRY" ). Seriously, WEIGHT plus length and suspension control "the Ride". The first one of us to own one should give the rest of us a ride so we can compare. For now, I will keep my 5013 pounder.
It is certainly a beauty to look at in the polished version. I would bet the factory gets a dozen inquiries per day for a "polished aluminum" model.
Polished aluminum with 4 coatsof clearcoat ?????? hmmm ?
