alternator options

Hi Forum,
I need to replace my alternator in my 76 B. I was looking to upgrade both look
and function, I'd love to get a chrome one but can't find one anywhere.
I did find a Bosch 75 Amp and was thinking a little extra juice couldn't be
a bad thing to power a future sound system, fog lights etc...
any thoughts or feelings about, Bosch, 75 amp, chrome?
Or should I go with a direct Moss rebuilt?

The Delco alternator used in Saturns is a common upgrade (96-105amps). A local autoparts store might be able to order one of those in chrome.

What car did the 75amp Bosch alternator come from?

Another option is to take a bosch alternator from a 78 to 80 ford fiesta. Its a plug and play upgrade.

Buy an already converted and ready to install Saturn/Bosch alternator from these guys:

For about $125, this is really a "no brainer!"

If you really want to do it the hard (and expensive!) way, here's my site which tells you all the steps:

But, doing it my way will end up costing you lots more than $125.

Do you know how many AMP is the Ford Fiesta alternator?

Otherwise I'll most likely go with Tom recommendation and buy it from MGCCARS.COM.

I belive its in the 50 to 65 amp range. If you do go this way you will need one with the regulator.

Sorry I no longer have a good link, but I think the alternator is for a '94 Saturn SW series.

I have the Bosch Ford alternator in my '70 GT. Like Stewart says,it's about 65 amps. Bosch p/n 13107 plug and go
Works excellent no problems
