Please can anyone throw some light on a Lucas alternator query from a UK 1978 BGT. All my connections are heavily corroded so I decided to remove the alternator to make it easier. There was the heavy brown wire on a 3/8” spade, a brown/yellow 1/4” spade, a thinner brown wire on a 1/4” spade but it had another wire attached to it which was blue. When I removed the black cover, it was crimped to a white wire coming from a white wire out of the regulator. Please can anyone help and identify where and what this wire is please? Many thanks in advance.👍
